As well as these two historical biographies, Jessica has written four business guides and two lifestyle books, plus articles for the Australian Association for Environmental Education, Vogue Entertaining and Vogue Children. She also co-wrote a chapter on sustainability for the United Nations publication Tomorrow Today.

 

Jessica worked at the Australian Research Institute for Environment & Sustainability at Macquarie University for fifteen years, including five as its Director. She founded and remains a consultant on the Habitat Stepping Stones program, which showcases the native plants that help local wildlife. She also developed the Calcium Counts website, to help people get enough calcium in their diet for strong bones.

Jessica is fascinated by the remarkable women of colonial Australia and is delighted to be bringing them out from the shadows.
